Bast was initiated at 17 years of age by her root teacher, ShoShanna Rose, a cross-cultural mystic and modern devadasi carrying teachings and initiations from Tibetan Buddhist Tantra, Indian Sakta Tantra, ancient Egyptian Awalim women’s mystery tradition, as well as Native American, Sufi, and pagan spiritual traditions.
ShoShanna danced with the Tara Dhatu, a lineage of sacred feminine dance newly protected under Tibetan Buddhism and who dance for the Dalai Lama and many venerable Tibetan buddhist teachers the world over.
ShoShanna recognized Bast as a dakini and encouraged her path as a priestess, healer, ritual artist, tantric yoga teacher, and modern temple dancer.
Her path ignited, she later sought teachings with Margot Anand, Jwala, Mantak Chia, Bodhi Avinasha, Goddess Martine, Malia Oliver, Jerry Ya, Shakti Shen, Triambika, Chandra Devi, Shivakti Shaktiva, and she underwent apprenticeship and initiation as a dakini, a tantric healing practitioner and guide with several mentors. She continues on as a devotee and student of Amma Pratyangira Devi of the Sri Vidya tantric lineage, who blesses her work and dakini temple. www.pratyangira.org www.ekatvam.org

Bast’s lineage stream comes from all she has gathered from her teachers, her own rich personal practice, and from divine source itself. She serves with integrity, reverence, love, and bhakti!
